CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO THE GRANT OF THIS LICENCE
This licence is granted subject to any Mandatory Conditions imposed by the Licensing Act 2003, Embedded Conditions carried across on conversion of your previously held Justices Licence, Conditions Converted from any previously held Public Entertainments Licence, Conditions volunteered on the application form to be undertaken by the applicant and where necessary, Conditions imposed by the Licensing Authority in order to promote the Licensing Objectives.
1. Mandatory Conditions:
a No supply of alcohol may be made under the Premises Licence at a time when there is no Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) in respect of the Premises Licence OR at a time when the Designated Premises Supervisor does not hold a Personal Licence or his/her Personal Licence has been suspended.
b Every supply of alcohol under the Premises Licence must be made or authorized by a person who holds a Personal Licence.
c Any Door Security staff employed to carry out a security activity at the premises must be licensed with the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
d. In respect of the exhibition of films as mentioned below:
1 The admission of children to the exhibitions of any film is restricted as follows:
2 Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless 3(b) below applies, the admission of children is restricted in accordance with any recommendation of that body.
3 Where:-
(a) the film classification body is not specified in this licence, or
(b) the licensing authority has notified the holder of the licence that this subsection applies to the film in question,
the admission of children is restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by the licensing authority.
4 In relation to the above:
“children” means persons under the age of 18 years; and
“film classification body” means the persons or person designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984.
Conditions Consistent with the Operating Schedule
1 CCTV shall be provided in the form of an internal/external recordable system, cameras shall encompass all ingress and egress to and from the premises and all areas where the sale/ supply of alcohol occurs. The CCTV equipment shall be maintained in good working order correctly time and date stamped. Recordings shall be kept in date order, numbered consequentially and kept for a period of 31 days and handed to police on request. The recording equipment and tapes shall be kept in a secure environment under the control of the DPS or other norminated responsible individual. Appropriate signage representative of the above shall be displayed in conspicuous positions.
2 Alcohol shall not be placed within 2 metres of the entrance door. All alcohol over 6% and 'alcopops' will be displayed behind the counter and not available for self service. Alcopops includes all flavoured spirits as well as those known as Alcopops and shall include spirit based drinks mixed with soft drinks or flavoured juice. This will include and not be limited to products such as 'Bacardi Breezers'.
3 All staff selling alcohol to have a Personal Licence.
4 Fire extinguisher checks to be made and inspected on an annual basis. Electrical equipment to be inspected on an annual basis.
5 Ensure adequate and regular refuse collections from the premsies.
6 Management and staff to use their best endeavours to prevent persons loitering outside the premises.
7 Waste bin to be provided outside the premises.
8 A Challenge 21 scheme will be operated at the premises - the only form of valid identification being passport, photo driving licence or PASS hologram id card.
9 A refusals book will be compiled and maintained containg records of instances/persons who have been refused the sale of alcohol on the basis of their perceived age.
10 Notices to be displayed informing of ID checks with regard to alcohol and cigarette sales.
11 Staff will be trained (and undergo regular refresher training) in respect of the sale of all age restricted goods (including awareness / prevention of proxy sales) - such training sessions to be documented and records made available to authorised persons from Responsible Authorities.
