LICENSING ACT 2003
CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO THE GRANT OF THIS LICENCE
This licence is granted subject to any Mandatory Conditions imposed by the Licensing Act 2003, and conditions volunteered on the application form to be undertaken by the applicant and where necessary, conditions imposed by the Licensing Authority in order to promote the Licensing Objectives.
1. Mandatory Conditions:
a Any Door Security staff employed to carry out a security activity at the premises must be licensed with the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
b. In respect of the exhibition of films as mentioned below:
1 The admission of children to the exhibitions of any film is restricted as follows:
2 Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless 3(b) below applies, the admission of children is restricted in accordance with any recommendation of that body.
3 Where:-
(a) the film classification body is not specified in this licence, or
(b) the licensing authority has notified the holder of the licence that this subsection applies to the film in question,
the admission of children is restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by the licensing authority.
4 In relation to the above:
“children” means persons under the age of 18 years; and
“film classification body” means the persons or person designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984.
Appendix A
Conditions Consistent with the Operating Schedule
1. The store operates to a high standard in terms of the sale of hot food. All staff will be fully trained in their responsibilities with regard to the sale of hot food and in dealing with difficult customers.
2. An Extensive CCTV system is in operation to provide security and identify any culprit who is intent in causing trouble in store. All images are stored for a period of 31 days after which they can be erased or saved at the request of the Police. All current security measures will remain in operation. all staff have been fully trained in this area. Images will be made available to the police or authorised licensing officer from the council on request.
3. Staff will be trained to be alert to any potential danger to customers and react accordingly. If they are unable to quickly difuse the situation without risk to the customer or staff, then they are instructed to call the police. All relevant fire procedures are in place for a store of this size.
4. Youths will be encouraged to move from the entrance to the store to prevent the potential of causing nuisance to customers, and general intimidating behaviour. The entrance to the store is also visible from the till point area, and so can be monitored by the staff. CCTV cameras will also pick up any disturbance in this area.
5. General security measures as detailed above, and the use of CCTV will ensure the protection of children whilst using the store.
