Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
Prevention of Crime & Disorder
I am a very respected and reputable member of the community; I already have the respect and admiration of the local community as I am always striving to improve the area with the post office and newsagents we have run for the last 13 years. I am always working with the local police and community officers to prevent crime and disorder. I will stay in closely connected with the local enforcement to make sure there is no trouble. We have always co-operated with the police in the past with any incidents and we have a very good standing with them. We already have measures in place to tackle crime, cameras etc, but I will re-enforce with more improvements once we have the licence.
Public Safety
Public safety is paramount for us and has been for the time we have been here running the post office. We will make sure the public is safe by taking necessary measure in store and out of store. We already have safety measures set up through the post office. We will make sure we check id’s and we have cameras and disabled access and great staff that look after our customer and the general public around our store.
Prevention of Public Nuisance
We already keep our store and the surroundings very tidy and clean, Our store is always odour free and smell nice always. We don’t condone littering around our store and we have local helpers who pick litter with us to keep things clean. We won’t open past 11pm, therefore no loitering. We will try to protect the public and the environment at all costs. We already recycle using bury council. We have always worked anyway we can with the council to help the local community.
Protection of Children from harm
We will safeguard any children in and around the area or anywhere to be honest. We have a very strict policy in our store about challenging anyone for id who is buying that kind of product either cigarettes, lottery or in the future alcohol, so rest assured you can be confident in me and my staff that we have never sold to under age person in the whole time we have been here. We have a very good record at our store for this kind of thing. Mt staff is fully trained to recognise underage and not to serve them. We will display plenty of signage to notify the public. And we will use CCTV to monitor the premises to ensure children are not purchasing by proxy. We already have a refusals register.
